The museum in Gobustan is famous for its ancient petroglyphs dating back to the Paleolithic era. This unique site preserves over 6,000 rock carvings depicting human life, animals, hunting scenes, as well as dances and rituals. Ramana Fortress, built in the 12th-14th centuries, served as a strategic fortification on the trade route between Europe and Asia. With its high walls and towers, it protected the local population from enemy raids and was an important defensive structure. The fortress still retains its historical appearance to this day.
